Verdict

CAPTAIN SHARPE was moderate on the Flat but is a better hurdler judged on his two runs here in August, the second of them when battling to victory under Mark Quinlan. He's penalised for that but today's opposition looks weak and he can complete a double. George Woolf has a victory on Polytrack to his credit but has performed badly on both starts over timber and Drawn Free didn't show much on his only start on the level at Lingfield in July. Rainy Champion looked quite promising on his opening runs on the Flat but was beaten a long way on his debut over timber at Fontwell last month.
