In depth

Verdict

Paul Nicholls' French import Edgardo Sol is the interesting one here as he's just four-years-old and is set to carry top weight. He's potentially useful but his form in France is all on testing ground and he may find this a bit lively. PIMENT D'ESTRUVAL will like the going and though not exactly consistent his easy victory under Richard Johnson at Hereford points to his chances here and the jockey was absent when Tim Vaughan's charge ran poorly last time. Dean's Grange is running well but is well held by the selection on their run at Hereford while Olympian Boy's penalty for his surprise Sedgefield success may prevent a follow-up and Callisto Moon looks high enough in the weights.
