Verdict

BARZIAN is given the vote to win on his hurdles debut ahead of True Britannia and Kaiser Willie. The selection was rated as high as 87 on the flat when trained by John Oxx in Ireland. He won last year as a two year old at Down Royal and will have been well prepared for his hurdles debut by trainer Evan Williams and with a clear round he will take all the beating. True Britannia won four times on the level last season and has not been discredited in a couple of sellers of late. He comes into the race fit from the flat and any market moves should be noted. Kaiser Willie has only proved moderate on the level and is best watched on his hurdles debut, however for the winner we return to Barzian.
