Verdict

Thedeboftheyear beat Fintan by a neck in one of these over track and trip last month but is 4lb worse off today. Nicky Nutjob is back in the right grade and has been tumbling down the handicap recently. Richard Johnson is a positive jockey booking and he should be thereabouts while A P McCoy rides Henwood, who was placed over 2m1f here last time. Lucy Jones' mount PRINCE PIPPIN is back on a winning mark and would appear to have every chance of going one better than at Ffos Las earlier this month as he handles all types of going and the trip certainly won't be a problem. Fontwell third Cash For Steel may be best of the rest.
