      Verdict

Of those with racecourse experience OTAARED stands out here and gets the vote ahead of newcomers Planetary Motion and Red Jade. The selection gets the nod because he has had two runs, the second of which was the best piece of form on offer here. He also represents a yard that has enjoyed another good strike rate this season, he should be better for the step up in trip and he looks the first string for the yard on jockey bookings. Planetary Motion competes in public for the first time and is a typically well bred representative of Sheikh Hamdan. He probably won't be unduly inconvenienced by the going here, and the trip looks ideal, though perhaps a bit of cut might be preferable in time. John Gosden's two-year-olds are going pretty well and Red Jade is another starting at a good trip for one who will probably end up being best over middle distances. The ground won't be an issue so look out for a good debut. Top Tribute should be better for top-of-the-ground, but Act Of Diplomacy needs to show plenty more.
