Hydrant is in good heart at present having landed two of his last three starts in the space of just ten days in June. A tempting proposition under the accomplished Joanna Mason, the feeling still persists he's slightly more effective on better ground. A solid effort is anticipated but INDIAN CHIEF is just preferred under his 6lb penalty after returning to form over trip and ground just four days ago with a runaway 6l success. He'll be hard to overcome if in the same mood, with the excellent Serena Brotherton in the saddle an added bonus. Engai is consistent but arguably better on artificial surfaces and Togetherwecan, third last time to Hydrant, will be a threat to all if handling soft ground which she encounters for the first time.
