        Verdict

The longer trip should suit SKYRIDER and Roger Charlton's filly is selected here in preference to City Vaults Girl, Faith Jicaro and Saggiatore in what looks a competitive affair. The selection starts life in handicap company with a mark of 74 and that looks fair. She was unable to race as prominently as her jockey would have liked at Windsor last time but she shaped well and although her dam was a sprinter she looks likely to relish the sterner examination of stamina today. City Vaults Girl is 4lb higher for her Pontefract win last time and is not ignored despite the different ground, Faith Jicaro shaped ok behind Cultivar at Haydock, whilst Spicewood and Eden Nights don't look stable stars on the evidence seen so far. Saggiatore only found Sajjhaa too strong at Sandown and although she flopped in the Oaks that is no reason to question the merit of that Sandown run; a bold bid is expected. David Lanigan has proven that he can ready a handicap debutante so Naheb is respected, along with Centime who improved on her runs as a two-year-old when second to Nurture at Windsor last time out. Jasmeno is yet another in the race who will relish the longer trip being out of a mare who was a strong stayer, so along with Lily Rio and Happy Mood she helps to contribute to making this the most intriguing race of the day. Not easy to solve accordingly but we will take a chance on Skyrider.
