In depth

Verdict

Dream Rose is expected to have too much experience for this lot and fancied to get off the mark at the sixth time of asking. The stablemates, Smart Gal and Fear To Tread, are very much respected as likely improvers, while Royal Proposal is an interesting newcomer worth noting in the betting. The last named is related to plenty of winners and will benefit from the assistance of Kieren Fallon. She hails from a yard that does well with this type of animal and it will be no surprise to see her be well backed tonight. Fear To Tread was clueless on her debut and that run can be forgiven. She is expected to have come on plenty from that outing and, as the winner of that race has gone on to be placed in a Group Three, the form may not be as weak as first thought. Again, she is one to carefully monitor in the betting market. Smart Gal also ran green on her debut and was not knocked about as a result. She is also expected to have come on for the experience and can help to make a race of it here. Nevertheless, Dream Rose has taken well to her profession and, with several near misses so far, she is expected to be too wily for the rest on this occasion. The daughter of Anabaa is already on a rating of 81, but is not expected to be unduly punished if successful tonight.
