Winter Alchemy, not seen since February when fifth to Golden Sparkle at Musselburgh, gained his only success to date here in the summer of 2011. A market move for the Richards' inmate would be significant. Taruma didn't do too badly on his second start of the campaign when fifth here to Malin Bay but the ex-French gelding does look a bit quirky, whilst Solway Bay and Ryton Runner finished first and third here last time and both are respected with course and distance successes in the book. CALL BOX has a handicap chase entry here on Tuesday evening and would be the choice if turning out. The Witness Box gelding was only 4l adrift of the winner in the aforementioned Malin Bay race here and a repeat of that effort would probably suffice.
