In depth

Verdict

Rather like her stablemate in the opener, MISS SARENNE has some jumping issues to address so it's hard to be confident that she'll get the better of Nomecheki and I Have Dreamed. The further the race went at Huntingdon, the further Miss Sarenne jumped to her left but a return to racing left-handed may help alleviate that problem. She is sure to have been well schooled since then and she has the raw ability to win a race of this nature in receipt of the allowances. Franchoek has plenty to prove at present both in terms of his jumping and enthusiasm so a bigger threat may turn out to be I Have Dreamed who chased home a stablemate of the selection at Fakenham but the ground is more testing than ideal. Nomecheki got no further than the first in a handicap chase at Kempton on Boxing Day but he won over course and distance under similar conditions in November. This opposition is tougher but his three principal opponents all have questions to answer so he can't be dismissed but Miss Sarenne is given another chance.
