HAREEM is a speculative selection at the expense of Prince Zafonic and Not For Diamonds. The selection shaped well for a long way at Wetherby the other week before being outclassed as the official ratings would have suggested. Against this lesser level of opposition and with a light racing weight, he makes a fair degree of appeal at the likely odds. Prince Zafonic won under the champion jockey at Exeter. He hasn¿t always appeared to get this trip and he could be vulnerable having gone up the weights. Not For Diamonds was third in a Wincanton hurdle. If he hasn¿t bounced after his recent return, he has to be a player. The Hairy Lemon was once a very useful sort though his recent runs have struggled to capture the imagination. King Kasyapa has the services of the smart Donal Devereux so it would be no surprise to see him glean improvement. Pseudonym does not appear to be the heartiest of battlers so it remains to be seen as to whether a switch away from professional handling makes any difference. Shield Of Zeus is unproven on the ground but put up his best effort to date when fourth in a recent event at the track. In a race of limited betting appeal, Hareem is the percentage call.
