In depth

Verdict

WATT BRODERICK stayed on strongly to get off the mark over this trip at Yarmouth in June. Runner-up Speedi Mouse has won twice since so the form has a very solid look about it and Ian Williams' Irish import may be capable of defying a 5lb higher mark. Sabhan was in good form in the spring but beaten off a 3lb lower mark on his reappearance following a break at Sandown while Beverley maiden winner Miss Ellany is also high enough in the weights at present. Alkadi hasn't managed a place so far this term but has been running better than her form figures would suggest and it would be no surprise if she proved the danger to the selection ahead of Dansili Dutch and Iffraam.
