In depth

Verdict

The veteran Tuscan Gold won this two years ago and arrives in the best of form having won over the extended 2m5f course here in April and is still well handicapped despite a 5lb rise. Frederic changed stables over the winter and made an impressive start for new connections at Carlisle though he's been hit with an 8lb higher mark. AURORA GREY completed a hat-trick on Polytrack at the turn of the year and has been given a break. Not surprisingly she's shot up the weights and has an 8lb rise to contend with in this better race but there's no reason why she's won't be suited to the surface so gets the nod. All For The Best has been in good form on the Flat and over hurdles and the trip is no problem but Arrowtown is still a maiden and hasn't convinced when tried over this sort of trip. Waterclock was second in this last year with Riptide fourth and the former arrives in winning form having scored at Hexham last month.
