A competitive contest for the money and we will side with EFFERVESCE to win on her handicap debut at the main expense of Bollin Greta and Fantastic Cuix. Sir Michael Stoute's filly steps up from 10f to 1m 4f today and with Galileo as her sire that looks a positive move. She should handle conditions if they soften before racing and she looked like she had begun to grasp the nettle when runner up in a Lingfield maiden last time. She can go one better from a mark of 74. Just 1lb higher is Luca Cumani's Fantastic Cuix, who was comfortably accounted for at Newbury where she was doing her best work at the finish over this sort of trip. She is related to winners up to 15f, so this stiff track may help to bring about improvement and she is respected. Bollin Greta will certainly appreciate this test of stamina and has a course and distance win to her name. She stays very well and acts in most conditions, although all of her wins have come on good. Her problem may be the handicapper, who is asking her to do what she has not yet done from a mark of 71 today. Saggiatore has been runner-up on her last three starts, handles any ground with good in the description, and looked to be improving when upped to this distance last time, so she too has claims. Chilly Filly is up 2lbs for a Doncaster maiden win over 1m 4f last year but has a lengthy absence to overcome, while Kathlatino is worth a market check. Effervesce can sparkle today.
