Verdict

American Life won this off a similar mark in 2016 and has been hurdling since while Madam Lilibet was narrowly beaten in last year’s renewal and ended the season winning over 2m2f here. Indian Red won over 2m at Wolverhampton in January and has been thereabouts on the all-weather subsequently while the top four in the weights have all won over hurdles with Silvestre De Sousa’s presence on Argante taking the eye. But winning hurdler UPTOWN FUNK went close over 2m at Newcastle when last on the Flat in December and has as good a chance as any if lasting home.
