EXPLORATOR has leading claims if lining up here rather than Newmarket on Saturday; if he fails to face the starter then Umverti and Golden Future could be the ones to concentrate on. Explorator has made rapid strides since being sent handicapping and he produced a career best performance when trouncing the field at Ripon; he has two furlongs further to travel and a 10lb higher mark to cope with but he has shown no signs of stopping thus far. Umverti should get first run on him from her low draw as the mare made every yard to win over course and distance just over a week ago and that form has already received a boost with the second winning earlier in the week. Master Nimbus has claims of repeating his 2008 success whilst Golden Future should have given the winner something to think about at Ripon and looks sure to be involved with Paul Hanagan taking over in the saddle. Danceintothelight is another to consider but our search for the winner stopped with Explorator.
