Verdict

MAYFAIR LADY showed the benefit of her opening run when just touched off by stablemate Mr Lupton at Haydock. The winner has since been narrowly beaten in the Super Sprint at Newbury so Richard Fahey's filly should go one better. Comedy Night was caught close home at Catterick and though not running up to that form at Lingfield subsequently he bounced back with a good run at Thirsk on Friday. Fast Enough is another who was caught in the closing stages on his latest start though that was over an extra furlong so he should be in the firing-line. Emerald Bay looked in need of the experience at Windsor but still caught the eye and Kevin Ryan's newcomer Candy Banter is another to watch out for on in a tricky opener.
