Verdict

Gordon Elliott has three of the six entries, all recent winners. A Toi Phil, a Grade 2 winner over hurdles, made a very encouraging debut over fences at Down Royal where he jumped well while Jetstream Jack looked a young staying chaser for the future when making a successful start at Tipperary. Space Cadet could be called the winner from a long way out on testing ground at Roscommon and though that was over the minimum he should find this trip even more to his liking. Georges Conn has much more experience than any of these though a losing run of 11 over fences suggests he'll find this opposition too strong. Nambour is a smart and lightly-raced hurdler who made a superb start over the bigger obstacles at Galway last month where he jumped like an old hand. He's in the same ownership at DISKO and Bryan Cooper, who has ridden both, plumps for the latter who could hardly have been more impressive when scoring over 2m4f here last month - hopefully his judgement will prove correct.
