Verdict

Ballyegan Hero has alternated between bumpers and hurdles and came good on the level at Tramore after a very good effort over timber at Killarney in May. He's on the upgrade and looks certain to go well again but Blue Owen was beaten a long way when third at Gowran three weeks ago and will need to find more. Kagney had also had experience over timber before his bumper success at Downpatrick where he was very impressive so he's on the short-list as is Stand Up And Fight, who very nearly made a successful hurdling debut on testing ground at Navan in April. The latter looks a promising type and gets the age allowance but this can go to LOUGHADERRA PRINCE. Alan Fleming's charge would have made a winning start in a point-to-point but for falling at the last and beat subsequent winning bumper and hurdler Blood Crazed Tiger in a Naas bumper last November.
