Verdict

A very interesting contest in which Bob Lingo will be fancied to gain his first success over fences at the fourth time of asking. However, he took a crashing fall at the third last when still there with a chance in the race won by Darceys Dancer at Gowran three weeks ago and may just need a confidence booster. Otay Kawn has done well enough over fences to suggest he will be winning soon but there are some nice prospects making their debuts over fences and any one of them could be successful. Healys Bar was only just beaten in the Grade 1 Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse in December while Saludos, runner-up in the Grade 1 Future Champions at Leopardstown, is another likely type for chasing though he disappointed on his final start in February. NOBLE PRINCE has competed at a very high level throughout the last year including when a good fourth to Quevega in the Ladbroke World Series Hurdle here in April and is expected to make a very useful chaser.
