Verdict

Punters may be shell-shocked after a tough day and this doesn't offer much relief. LOTHAIR completed a hat-trick over 6f before stepping up in grade and finding things tougher. He's generally produced at around this trip so gets the vote to return to winning ways. Thatcherite has been gradually winding up towards a victory and won well at Newcastle on Wednesday so a 6lb penalty is unlikely to prevent another big effort despite a low draw. Eland Ally ran a fine race when just touched off by Beau Mistral over the course and distance last time though a low berth won't aid his cause and Modern Lady is another who may struggle on the inside and she's never won on turf.
