Dual winner Song Huntress has yet to prove that she stays six furlongs and may struggle to concede weight away anyway so preference is for Ridgeway Cross, who gets the vote ahead of Glendening. The last mentioned has failed to live up to expectations since tackling seven furlongs of late and the David Nicholls-trained colt could be of interest back over six today. Olivair has run well in similar contests of late and can again be expected to be thereabouts, while Horsefair Dancer similarly has shown enough in her last two starts in this grade to suggest that she too could figure in the finish. Charlie Hather showed his best form last time and is another to consider along with Bryan Smart's Musical City, who drops in class today. The vote though goes to Mick Channon's Ridgeway Cross, who has been running well in better grade than this and now drops to a seller for the first time.
