Verdict

TROPICAL BACHELOR was an impressive winner at Ripon last time out and will be looking for back-to-back wins, whilst Ballade De La Mer should improve upon a disappointing seasonal bow and five time winner Andorn will be looking to rediscover form that yielded a win last year. Tropical Bachelor won a good race at Ripon beating an interesting field that included Melkatant who also runs here. This helped the selection get off the mark for the first time from twenty two starts and a couple of placings prior to this offers promise that the current good run of form can continue. Melkatant was well beaten in the picks only victory at Ripon and this is unlikely to be reversed here. Andorn has performed poorly so far this year and has not progressed over the past couple of years so is ruled out of the equation today. Ballade De La Mer was last bar one other horse in her last outing and will need to find a lot more to contest this one. In a weak field, we side with Tropical Bachelor to go on and score again.
