Guga won when last seen here attempting this trip but has disappointed in his runs since then. His last run over the hurdles wasn't ideal and he will prefer the drop back to his favoured trip on the flat. Interestingly, Duke Of Normandy lines up against Guga again today after finishing even further behind the winner of their last race together in that Selling Hurdle at Stratford. A lot was expected as a youngster bought for 100,000 guineas as a yearling but he moved to Brian Baugh's yard for £10,000 last year after failing to impress for Mark Johnston. TIMOCRACY is once more the selection looking for seven wins in a row. He has beaten Guga before in May when carrying 5lb more than his rival and with better terms today in the weights he can gain another victory.
