    Verdict

Areef was only beaten a neck by Fire Crystal at Bath without looking like getting to the winner. That was an improved effort, albeit in modest company, and it'll be interesting to see if the first-time visor elicits enough improvement for her to score. Vetvey scored nicely at Newcastle and is reopposed by the three that followed him home. Mark Johnston's charge has disappointed the last twice though and is worse off with all his victims and BYRON BEAR, third that day after a troubled passage, can reverse placings on revised terms. Downtown Boy was runner-up that day and should be on the premises once again.
