      Verdict

This is a typically competitive six furlong handicap and Wyatt Earp, Trojan Flight and the evergreen Ellens Academy are three to consider, with preference for Wyatt Earp. Trojan Flight prefers soft ground but showed fast ground holds no fears for him when scoring at Catterick last time. However, he meets his rivals on worse terms here and he is reluctantly passed over. Ellens Academy is running into form and was beaten only half a length into third at Newcastle last time. He will go well but at the age of ten may find a couple of these too speedy. Wyatt Earp has shown improved form this season and found Catterick¿s track a little sharp when chasing home Trojan Flight last time. This course is a little flatter and on slightly better terms Wyatt Earp is taken to reverse the form.
