Michael Dods has three entries and Paul Mulrennan keeps faith with Byron's Choice, whom he rode to victory on good to soft at Carlisle. He looks the pick of the stable's trio though PLACEBO EFFECT (NAP), who is having a tremendous first campaign having won three times, probably ran his best race to date when third in a much stronger nursery at Doncaster last week and can go in again. The latter event was won by Nobleman's Nest trained by Simon Crisford, who has Dark Liberty making her handicap debut after showing potential in novice company. Emerald Rocket has looked ready for a step up to this trip and softer ground in his last couple of starts and should get involved from his low perch.
