Verdict

Indian Ballad had El Viento a length behind when runner-up here last month and there's little to choose between that pair here. But Mappin Time and Julius Geezer are both struggling to find their best form of last season, while Warwick winner Serena's Pride and Defence Council will need to improve again, though the latter produced a better effort last time. ELUSIVE PRINCE was pitched into much better company at York on his latest start and did as well as could be expected when beaten five lengths. He'd won his two previous starts over C&D and, back in this lower grade, David Barron's charge is fancied to pick up the winning thread again.
