    Verdict

Costume has by far the best form on offer and a repeat of anything close to her French 1000 Guineas fourth should be enough to score easily here. Sofie Tucker and Urban Spirit can fight it out for the forecast. Still a maiden, the selection has form which makes her stand out here. She performed with credit in two hot maidens at HQ and then ran a blinder in Paris. Happy on this ground, this daughter of Danehill can not be opposed. Also in the Khalid Abdulla colours is Urban Spirit who drops in trip after a pleasing run last time out. Her form looks solid and the drop in trip looks a good move, but place money is all that can be hoped for. Sofie Tucker ran a blinder first time up and as the stable's runners normally improve for their debut she can find a race soon enough but it is unlikely to be today. The rest can be ignored, and we can return to Costume to get off the mark on the way to better things.
