        Verdict

        RED REFRACTION scored over today's trip at Ascot last season and is 3lb higher today. But he has a recent pipe-opener over 7f under his belt and should make a bold bid in this company. Vallarta failed to win last season but went close on a couple of occasions in September while Towbee has a shout with an apprentice's 7lb allowance helping his cause. Kimberalla found only one too good in a higher grade race at Newmarket in August and can get involved with a similar effort on his reappearance and Compton Park may prove best of the rest.
