A very tough race to call but there looked to be plenty of potential in MURBEH when scoring on his Newbury debut and Brian Meehan's gelding is selected. He overcame greenness to win a competitive event that day, acts on a sound surface and comes from a yard in cracking form, so with improvement anticipated he gets the vote. Hamilton winner Nasharra has at least got experience in big fields in Newbury's Super Sprint to call upon and is respected from 4lbs higher, while Cathedral Spires is an improver who could go close if he runs up the handicapper's assessment of him. Mother Jones has a good draw and went well here before so may do so again at a price, while Riverdale impressed when winning at Beverley and is drawn against the far rail, which could also help. A fascinating race where Murbeh is suggested.
