Verdict

Disappointingly just the six runners stand their ground for the feature event on the card in which Sylvester Kirk's Talking Hands will try to give weight away all round to land this Listed race but he may struggle to do so on ground that may be softer than ideal and preference is for Desert Phantom, who gets the vote ahead of Come And Go. The last mentioned is impeccably bred and looks to be going the right way but Alan Swinbank's gelding is likely to come into his own when stepping up in trip. Brian Meehan's Zezao is capable but is held by the selection on running last time, while Favourite Girl is more exposed than most of these and probably needs to improve to trouble the judge. Sunset Crest will not be inconvenienced by the underfoot conditions and cannot be ruled out but a better bet looks to be Desert Phantom, who has shown a decent level of form in winning his two starts at Haydock and Windsor, both under testing conditions, and he is taken to win again.
