Albert Tatlock may prove best of those with experience but there are several very well connected newcomers and one of them should take the spoils. It's rare to see Roger Varian with an unraced four-year-old in his yard so Kota Sas, a half-brother to four winners, must be thought capable of winning races. Mark Johnston runs a couple with Star Lahib, who is related to several winners, probably better than Discay at this stage. All eyes here will be on SOVIET DREAM, the first foal of the brilliant miler Soviet Song, who won five times at Group 1 level. He's making a belated debut for James Fanshawe and has plenty to live up to but this should be a successful start.
