Verdict

This looks quite competitive with a number of the runners having already shown decent form in maidens. Simply Black has the highest official rating of those that have earned one but was a tad disappointing in a nursery at York last time. Margrets Gift, second over course and distance on her debut, didn't impress back over 5f at Beverley but Fredricka ran her best race so far at Newcastle last time and Rural Celebration may have found an extra furlong too far at Pontefract. BALTIC SPIRIT was beaten in a claimer at Thirsk but couldn't find any cover from a wide draw. She looks to be improving and could recoup losses in this granted luck in-running.
