Verdict

BROKEN SPEAR was narrowly beaten on his racecourse debut at Doncaster and the winner has subsequently gone in again. Tony Coyle’s charge gets the vote on that form receiving weight from Kinks. The latter is penalised for winning at Kempton last week but can still figure. Of the newcomers, Axel Jacklin and Good Tyne Girl share ownership for different trainers with the former preferred while Hurricane Five is related to a couple of winning sprinters and makes more appeal than Gifted Zebedee.
