Verdict

JACOB'S PILLOW is impossible to oppose despite being beaten when odds-on for his debut at Sandown. Better was obviously expected that day but he missed the break and ran very green so the experience should have done him good. The Hooded Claw looks best of the remainder with a run under their belts as he did well to finish runner-up at Thirsk before a creditable effort in a strong York maiden. King Of Macedon cost 150,000 euros as a yearling, double the amount he made as a foal, so someone must have seen something they liked.
