Noble Commander had dropped to a fair mark when scoring at Limerick and though 7lb higher must go on the short-list as he won with something in hand. Rickardstown has yet to win over fences but ran his best race to date behind Killultagh Queen at Ballinrobe and is at the right end of the weights. Doc O'Donnell won a point-to-point in February and has done well since turning to regulation fences. He looks certain to get competitive but may meet his match in LION NA BEARNAI. Tom Gibney's charge ran a cracking race behind Beautiful Sound over this trip at Punchestown in November and will be fresher than most having had just one subsequent run in January.
