With Saleem Golam in the plate, Extremely Rare is selected to come out on top in the apprentice handicap, with Elvina, Seven No Trumps and Dance To The Blues all sure to popular with punters. Extremely Rare has won two of her last four starts in trailblazing style, at Windsor and Bath, and although touched off at Warwick last time, she again showed that she does not need cut in the ground to give of her best. She did well to nearly overcome a six-pound rise three days ago, and this drop back in trip will help her cause. Elvina also made all when scoring in similar company at Thirsk last time and in receipt of a stone will be expected to go well along with Seven No Trumps who is weighted to get a lot closer to the selection than when they met at Bath. He would prefer easier conditions though and should be held again. Dance To The Blues goes well fresh as she proved when defying a 71-day break to win at Brighton last month and is still reasonably treated so is worth noting as is Holbeck Ghyll who was only just denied when trying to make all at Bath. There should be plenty of pace on here, and it is Extremely Rare who can make them all go.
