Verdict

John Hills and Chris Wall have both saddled recent winners of this race and both Flapper and Strike A Deal have leading claims in a contest where market support for Loden and Into The Wind would look significant. However, it may be worth taking a chance with the old boy GALLEGO whose last win came over course and distance from today's mark last summer although his come from behind style of racing means that his supporters could be in for a fraught time. Into The Wind caught the eye last time but a low draw and doubts about her stamina temper confidence whilst Flapper may still be a shade high in the weights. Fly By Nelly and Catchanova make a lengthening short-list whilst support for Lutine Charlie on debut for a new yard would look significant.
