Verdict

A low-grade handicap that won't live too long in the memory and an opportunity for PINK DIAMOND to show what she is capable of. The daughter of Champs Elysees has been well held in three maidens but she shaped with a degree of promise at Windsor and has been allotted a realistic mark to work from. Highland Stardust has plotted a similar campaign, and with a previous experience at Salisbury under her belt, she is unlikely to be trading at such big prices tonight. Stoneham has struggled against the handicapper for some time though she has dropped far enough in the weights to get below the ceiling figure for this contest. Eugenic is respected as a previous course winner while long-standing maiden Assoluta is sure to be popular with Richard Hughes in the plate.
