Verdict

DANIES BOY is the most interesting candidate amongst this lot; Shadow Bay, Cognac Boy and Swiss Art are others that make appeal at this level. Swiss Art has been in good form on the all-weather and is effective in this grade. He makes his belated turf debut at a very modest level and can easily make the frame if he copes with the surface. Cognac Boy represents an in-form yard and is another that may improve for the switch back to racing on grass. He is not expected to have any problems with today's trip and he can also be involved in the shake-up. Shadow Bay has three selling grade wins to his name and, having run a blinder under top weight in a handicap last time out, he has to merit respect. He also has experience of this course and is likely to exploit any weaknesses amongst the rest. However, Danies Boy stands out as the one open to most improvement and it has to be of interest that he takes his chance at this level rather than chance his arm in handicap off what looks to be a potentially lenient current mark.
