Not much winning form on show but MIRZAM (NAP) won over today’s distance at Chepstow on her handicap debut. An apprentice’s allowance negates all of a 7lb rise and Mick Channon’s filly can go in again. Oberyn scored twice over shorter trips on the all-weather earlier this year but has plenty to prove after a poor effort over 1m2f at Goodwood while Russian Regard and Magic Beans look likely to finish closer on the back of modest handicap debuts.
