In depth

Verdict

It is hard to get away from the chances of the impoving Apex and this one is selected ahead of Apply Dapply and Gaelic Princess. Jamie Spencer takes over today from Haddon Frost and he could get an armchair ride. This son of Efisio absolutely bolted up at Bath last time out and it is doubtful an eleven pound rise will stop him today. Gaelic Princess should be spot on for this following two runs this season and looks a big danger off a nice racing weight. Apply Dapply hasn't built on a terrific reappearance win but she has taken on some top opposition and cannot be underestimated. Pentecost is in the hands of the in form William Buick and is no back number, meanwhile Ordnance Row has been knocking on the door this season and is not without hope. However Apex is improving all the time and has to be the choice.
