A pretty ordinary maiden where Souter Point looks to be the one to beat on what he has achieved so far, but we will take a chance on newcomer TEMPLAR KNIGHT. Sir Michael Stoute's Montjeu colt sees the racecourse for the first time at three and has plenty of stamina in the pedigree. The maestro trainer can, of course, ready one to win first time and with ground unlikely to be a concern and plenty of vulnerable types in opposition we will tentatively suggest siding with him. Souter Point is one of those vulnerable opponents. Roger Charlton's gelding was a disappointing odds on favourite at Windsor last time and has been given a mark of 85 by the assessor. If he is worth that rating then he should take a bit of pegging back in this company, though he now has something to prove. Sushitan has had just one run, at Hanover, last year. Gary Moore now trains this colt who should certainly get this trip well and a market check is advised for a guide to his chance. Alqaffay makes his seasonal return and should be effective over this trip. With the yard apparently back to form he is respected. Sahaal should be able to show more for this step up to 10f and fast ground will be a boost, but we will chance Templar Knight for a debut win.
