A different test for GALTYMORE LAD but one he should pass with flying colours. Mick Channon's colt has been unfortunate to bump into Wootton Bassett in two valuable sales races this autumn and with that rival nowhere to be found he should prevail, despite this much smaller field. Avonmore Star has good tactical speed and with his solid record at the track he would be best off trying to nick this from the front with a tactical sprint to the line, as his main rival stays this trip very well. Jinky and Hortensia make up a three-pronged Channon attack and each has plenty to find at the weights; Jinky looks capable of more improvement than the claiming regular Hortensia.
