    Verdict

Topazes has been in good form of late, winning his last three starts, but Michael Bell's colt has yet to prove that he handles ground as testing as this and a better bet looks to be Magnitude, who gets the vote with Zippi Jazzman rated the pick of the remainder. The selection made a winning start to his career when landing a Warwick maiden in soft ground in March. The William Haggas-trained gelding has since disappointed in two fast-ground handicaps and he looks worth backing now returned to testing ground. Paul Blockley's Non Sucre was well held in Redcar's Two-Year-Old Trophy when last seen and has to be considered on his reappearance, while Shamrock Lady would need to improve on what she showed on her recent return at Warwick. Mark Johnston's Eastern Hills has yet to win a race but, being out of a Rainbow Quest mare, he may do better on the testing ground here. Zippi Jazzman comes into this on the back of a decent effort at Great Leighs and has to be respected, if handling the ground. The going should be of no problem to Magnitude though and he is preferred.
