GOLDEN HOOF got off the mark over hurdles at the first time of asking at Kempton. That experience will stand him in good stead here and he is fancied to defy his penalty. Theatrelands showed a bit of promise at Stratford but needs to step up on that now and more interesting are hurdling newcomers Beckhani and Lord Protector. The latter's second in an Ascot bumper was particularly promising as the winner is held in high regard and has won over hurdles since.
