    Verdict

An open handicap in which it's hard to take a strong view, but in having to nominate something, we will go for Cantrip, with Court One, Snow's Ride and Rome among those to consider as alternatives. Looking at the field. Court One has suddenly got the hang of this game, winning his last two races. Much as he's now rated two-pounds higher than for the latest of those wins, this track should suit, he's at the right end of the weights, and can go well. Cantrip runs here under a penalty after a decisive Folkestone success and, given that she is well weighted on the basis of her win at Lingfield last May, can be given a chance again. Galandora also comes here in good heart, having won two of her last four races, but she is six-pounds higher in the ratings now than for the latest of them. Cedar Master can be given a chance if getting back to the form of his Goodwood win in 2002, and he comes here fit from a recent hurdling run, while Rome, Mostarsil and Moon Emperor are closely weighted on the back of their course and distance runs on June 3. Much as he's been winning on the all-weather of late, Snow's Ride holds a chance based on his Chester winning form of last September, and Mr Ed cannot be ruled out either if primed and ready for this run, his first for 209 days. Finally, Dovedon Hero is back to near a winning mark but is unproven at this trip. However, if you think he's going to take to it, he cannot be ruled out either. As we say, it's tricky but the vote goes to Cantrip.
