      Verdict

Nova Tor relished these slower conditions at Newmarket over the weekend and she can follow up here, with Countdown and Rusky Dusky others to consider. Nick Littmoden's filly is set to give weight away all around here and carries a 6lb penalty for that Newmarket win. However, she really seemed at home with cut in the ground and with that in her favour again today, she looks capable of following up with doubts about most of the others. Countdown should be the one to give her most to do. Sir Mark Prescott's colt ran on well to land a Haydock maiden earlier in the month and pitched into nursery company he can again go very well. His trainer is a past master in these sort of contests and there is every reason to suggest that, provided he handles the ground, Countdown will be very close at the finish. Of the others, Rusky Dusky is unproven on the ground but might be better suited by this five furlongs on testing going than the six furlongs on faster ground he has encountered so far and he could make the frame. However, the selection here is Nova Tor.
