Verdict

The lightly-raced Garbanzo is worth a market check as he should strip fitter for a run at Newbury. Mullarkey is back on a feasible mark but WHAT A WELCOME was completing a hat-trick and notching a first win on Turf when successful on his reappearance at Newbury. He’s only had six career starts and there should be more to come so he’s the one to beat in a race that isn’t as competitive as the numbers suggest. Gary Moore’s pair Stormingin and Light Of Air may be the pick of the remainder, though soft going was a legitimate excuse for Punkawallah at Haydock.
